Truc Lam Phuong Nam monastery is located in the historic Lo Vong Cung, Can Tho. This monastery was built on the date 16.07.2013, the total area of 38 016 m2, about 145 billion VND of budget. With such an area, this is the largest monastery of the south.
The main palace is roofed 8 tiles under the Tran Dynasty style. The other palace is roofed 4 tiles in the style of Ly dynasty. The drum storey, bell-tower are roofed 12 tiles.
Besides copper Buddha Shakyamuni, the entire system of worship here is made of yew wood. The campus of the monastery is decorated properly, including Quan Am temple, Di Lac temple (Thuy Ta), One Pillar Pagoda, lecture hall, hotel hall, library, oriented medical hall….
Dalat monastery is a nicely architectural work alongside Tuyen Lam Lake, which becomes an indispensable destination of tourists who choose Vietnam for travel. The main palace is of area of 192 m2. Inside is Buddha Shakyamuni about 2 m high, his right hand holding a lotus flower. On the right is Manjushri riding a lion. On the left is the Bodhisattva Samantabhadra riding 6 ivory white elephant. The right side of the palace is the steeple bell weighs about 1.1 tons.

Legend has it that day, three first monks Truc Lam were Tran Nhan Tong, Phap Loa and Huyen Quang often went here for the sermon.

In addition, it has been the center of the sphere determined by Guinness Vietnam as the largest ball of Vietnam.
